Another week, another Tuesday Tidbits and more projects on the to-do list. We are down to three major‘ish projects left to do…before we start finding more work for ourselves. The three remaining projects require somewhat nicer weather, but I have gut feeling that we are going to have an early spring (partially because I believe we are due an early spring after last year’s lack of spring entirely).

We have to knock out the original third porch doorway. The door is ready, the trim is ready and the concrete work was done last fall. We are all ready. We just need 3-4 days with 50 degree weather and sun. Basically, we need a small miracle.

We also need to scrape and paint all exterior trim, windows, soffit and fascia. That one is going to take all spring/summer. In a perfect world, I would LOVE to have it finished prior to our hot and humid summer days…but it wouldn’t be memorable if we did that!

And finally, we need some landscaping. We both prefer a more minimal look…but not quite this minimal. I’ve got a couple of trees on my list and we definitely need more plants around the house. The downside is that we need the exterior scraping and painting done before we do anything with landscaping (or we risk ruining it all). So, timing is everything.

Feel free to give suggestions on your favorite plant/tree. Feel free to give suggestions on scraping and painting the exterior. Feel free to give suggestions on any of these projects….we’ve obviously put them off to the end for good reason!

Thank you for following along and have a wonderful week!

Personally I love hydrangeas and anything I don’t have to dig up and store over winter. Perennials are the way to go.
