Happy New Year, friends!!! We have left 2018 and are into 2019. I hope you are excited about a wonderful new year. I love looking back and forward. Here are some pics of our last year (some house related, some not) for this 2019 Tuesday Tidbits.
We started 2018 with some snow (which I love….and I’m missing it so much).
We placed the radiant floor heat system in the breezeway.
We were wrapping up lots of little finishes (still are, to be truthful) inside.
The closets were prepped for us to move in.
There was a fun trip in search of the famous swimming pigs.
On moving day, Niles was quite the backseat driver!
And he quickly learned every nook and cranny of the entire house.
We moved into our house (and more importantly our closets!).
We hosted a party the first week we moved into the house (seriously…worst idea ever…but we survived).
We took another trip.
We started on some of the exterior lighting…which we believe is one of the most important things for a home.
We settled into the house little by little.
We started enjoying actual home cooked meals (for the first time since we started this house project).
Niles settled into the house much easier than we did!
Spring took FOREVER to arrive!
But when it did, the entire state was happy!
We took another trip and saw some beautiful landscapes.
We enjoyed the summer and the long days.
There was another trip.
We took our time placing things (and are still moving things around).
We had a fun day at the ballpark with Trent’s employees.
We started working on the west side porch so we could eventually open up the original exterior door.
It turned out beautifully!
There was another trip to a gorgeous beach.
The summer stretched on and on!
A quick day trip to Manhattan to catch a show and nice dinner.
The house started to look a little more like a home.
A quick weekend getaway to visit with family (and bears…my family members are NOT bears!).
Trent started to get the garage a little more usable.
We hosted a few more parties.
And we started prepping for fall.
My parents helped me out for Halloween (Trent was out of town)…because our Halloween is amazing and cannot be experienced alone.
Another super quick trip with some gorgeous views!
More fall decor.
A weekend getaway down south with friends and family.
We hosted Thanksgiving in our home.
We prepped for the most wonderful time of the year…Christmas!
And we have finally wrapped things up for the year! It was a wonderful, busy and adventurous 2018. We always try to be mindful of how blessed we are: our friends, our family, our home, our projects, our jobs, our on-the-go lifestyle…but we truly take note at this time of year.
I hope your 2018 was wonderful, but if it was not all you hoped for 2019 is brand new! May this be the best year yet! Thank you for following along.
