This Tuesday Tidbits is just a little bit better because fall has officially arrived and I am SO HAPPY about it!!! I still need to decorate the front porch, but I’ve placed just a couple of items around over the last week or so. I’ll do some larger decor items once we get closer to Thanksgiving. But for now, just a couple of small fall touches will do the trick (get it….”trick”…I crack myself up).

The candles have been in the small fireplace all along, but don’t they just look like fall all lit up on a (finally) cooler evening?!

We believe that the concrete for the third porch/patio will be started this week…and we are super excited about that! We moved the irrigation system around (okay…to be technical we capped off certain sprinkler heads and then added a couple of additional ones). It required a little bit of digging, but it will be totally worth it. We had a decision to make on this item. Do we create a small porch or small patio?? In the end, we decided on a small patio. So, the steps will start directly outside the door (3 steps, I believe) and then there will be a small patio (8′ x 10’…approx.). We are then adding a sidewalk from the patio to the driveway.

And I’ve been cleaning up this original door in preparation for the installation. It still needs some love, but I’m just ready to have this done. And I’m really ready to have even more light brought into the office.

While we have been busy little bees, Niles has been enjoying the gorgeous fall days we have experienced.

As always, thank you for following along and have a wonderful week!

I am excited to see your new outside project and will enjoy following along. It’s always a “treat” to do a trick around Halloween time, it keeps people on their toes. And then there’s Niles, the Sun worshiper….

If it’s not too late, you should consider making the steps “low rise, deep tread”. Look up the specs on the ADA website. You will love the look and the accessibility is greatly appreciated by anyone using a walker or a wheel chair.
