It’s been another busy week on our end for this Tuesday Tidbits! Thankfully, our “busy” no longer includes driving home from work, changing clothes, driving to the house, and then driving back each evening. We easily gained 60-90 minutes each day when we moved into the house. We even have time to sit and relax each evening…which means I have had the chance to become better acquainted with the piano!

Yesterday was Trent’s birthday and we had a nice party for him on Friday last week (and I have events planned through this upcoming weekend). It’s a big one (it’s between 39 and 41) and we are enjoying it! Naturally, this cuts into our house time…but we are still making sure to get a little work done each day.

We have managed to get things like clocks and mirrors on the walls, but very little else. We have several other pieces to hang, but I just like to live with things for a spell before we start drilling too many holes. And while our dressers, nightstands, end tables, etc are a little bare…it’s for the same reason. I just need to live with it for a few days/weeks before deciding what goes where. I’m not the only one who does this….right???

We hung a large mirror that I’ve had for 20+ years above our large fireplace. Niles inspects every single thing we do!

This is how we decided to “hide’ the television in our master bedroom.

And this is how it looks when it’s actually open (again…nothing is decorated yet, so forgive my plain jane dresser).

Our office is looking extremely sad right now (and VERY unorganized). Thankfully, our new office furniture is being delivered this week and I may be more excited about this than anything else. Not because it’s all that great…but because we should have realized that this room needed to be completed before we moved in. Ahhhhhh. Live and learn. Our work worlds will become much more simple once the delivery is made this week!

Because we are big Pepsi drinkers in this house (in moderation, of course), I absolutely had to buy this vintage Pepsi bottle case in a local antique store. Once again, Niles inspects everything. This would be the downside to living where we are trying to work…Niles. He is never more than 3 seconds away. But at least he is super cute!

Have a wonderful week and thank you for following along!

You are not the only one who likes to live in a space and then get a feel of what decor goes where! Enjoy your new home and the decorating will come along! The house is beautiful and I’ve enjoyed seeing it come to life!

Loving your paint colors. Is your master and office the same color, or is the lighting?

You are doing great with your furnishings and I’m sure we all hope that Niles approves. It’s a whole new world to explore for him I’m sure. The piano fits so nicely with your window backdrops. It’s like music to the eyes. Great treatment for the TV too. Enjoy your time saved…..

Love your cat “statue” on the mantle in front of the mirror. Such a personality on that guy.

I absolutely love the piano in the window! That little alcove is just perfect for it!
