For this “Busy Busy Tuesday Tidbits” I plan on explaining our crazy life. The last couple of weeks have been insane! We moved in, I left on a trip 4 days later, Trent had to be out of town this past week, Friday we had committed to having a day-long event/meeting for Trent’s company at our home (a few months ago) and on Saturday we officially celebrated Trent’s 40th birthday (we did have an earlier party last week…but this Saturday was just the two of us).

Our master bedroom still needs decor, but it’s coming along. We both have decided that we really love the master – it just feels so warm.

Even thought things are far from finished, I put out a little breakfast snack and coffee/tea (small island) for the group that was at our home all day on Friday.

We put a large corner bookshelf in the office (along with a super large desk, large file cabinet and hutch on the opposite walls). This is about 2 of our 14 office boxes to unpack. Ahhhh….that’s okay. We’ll get there slowly. I believe that I’ll have the rest of the office semi-ready by next week and I’m excited to show it to you and explain how we re-purposed a piece of furniture for it.

Last week I showed you the tv case in our master bedroom…this week Niles discovered he could jump on top of it. At 3am in the morning. I’m pretty sure 3am is when all cats make their discoveries.

The rest of my closet (with my actual clothes) still needs some attention before I can show it to you. However, the shoes are all in place. To be technical, these are the spring/summer shoes…but I’m being optimistic.

And as I mentioned in a previous Tuesday Tidbits post, I lost my phone while swimming with sharks in the Bahamas a couple weeks ago. My travel friend (Kristin!!) shared her photos of us swimming with the pigs in Exuma. It was crazy and awesome and a little strange. But since my posting was a little off that week (due to losing my phone), I thought you might enjoy seeing exactly what I was doing during that trip.

**Disclaimer: I would normally not post swimsuit pics on this blog. But when you are standing next to actual pigs, it seems like the usual rules can be relaxed a little.

And this past Saturday Trent and I took the entire day off to celebrate his 40th. No work. No project work. Nothing! We did the craziest thing ever (okay…not really. But it felt pretty crazy to us.) We took an early morning direct flight to NYC and spent the day in Manhattan. We wandered around a couple of parks, took in some architecture, attended a matinee on Broadway and had a fancy-schmnacy dinner overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park. THEN, we flew home that evening. Crazy and fun!

As always, thank you for following along and being part of our slightly ridiculous life. Have a wonderful week!
