Friends, I had an entire Tuesday Tidbits ready to go for yesterday morning. Pictures showing that while we are living in the house we are still putting things in place (very slowly). Here is the part I didn’t put on the blog or our Facebook page: I’ve been gone for a girls’ trip since last week. If you follow along on Instagram, you may have caught that I was gone…but we try not to put every detail on every site (for a thousand different reasons). I had photos for the usual Mon-Fri pictures and the standard Tuesday Tidbits post. I was prepared and ready. Truth be told, you would never know I was gone.

Until a few sharks took control of my iPhone. Yes, you read that last sentence correctly. Sharks. I went to the Bahamas with a friend (shout out to Kristin!) and we decided to take a boat 3 hours south to find the swimming pigs. I know…this story is getting stranger by the minute. Long story short: there is a remote island inhabited only with pigs. That swim out to greet you. It’s crazy and kinda’ awesome.

Back to the phone: after we swam with pigs, we made our way to another remote island where there were wild (but extremely comfy with humans) sharks just swimming close to the beach. We swam with the sharks and (I’ll spare you the details) my iPhone ended up on the ocean floor with sharks circling above. I DID manage to get my actual phone back…but it was dead. Like no chance of making a comeback dead. These are the guilty individuals:

Some were small, some were big (8 feet long). Needless to say, when it’s sharks vs iPhone the sharks always win.

I just returned home and my first order of business was a new phone. Now that it’s under control, I can get back on the wagon with our blog and house photos. It is truly remarkable how much of our lives are wrapped up into one teeny-tiny device!

Sooooo….since you have waited much longer than usual, here is our Tuesday Tidbits (on Wednesday afternoon). Trent spent some time hanging televisions while I was gone.

Naturally, the tv in front of the tub was my highest priority.

The tv in our bedroom is also done. And thankfully our furniture for the master bedroom has all been delivered. Now it’s time to decide what will get placed in various locations.

And if you look very closely you can see a certain someone (Niles) seated at the head of the table. Where he believes he belongs.

And because I am just so excited (maybe even shed a tear), I came back from my little getaway only to find that Trent had a new (to us) piano delivered. We had spent a ton of time discussing brands, quality, color, etc so he knew exactly what I wanted. But it was such a great surprise!! Now, it just needs to be tuned and have the casters installed and it will be ready!

Many more update photos to come…but I need to catch my breath. And figure out how to use my new phone. Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Trent is gone often…many weeks out of the year. I don’t enjoy being gone as often so I’m usually at home holding down the fort.
