Happy Black Friday, friends! Hopefully, everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We DID take the entire day off yesterday, but there won’t be any shopping for us this today (unless we can count a trip to the hardware store). As I mentioned on Tuesday, this week has been so busy that I needed to do a second post just to keep you up to date. We started arranging the tile for the breezeway and making the required cuts.

We then picked all the tile back up (in a specific order) and set it off to the side. We will get started on the heated floor next, before we actually lay the thin-set and tile.

The refrigerator was our one missing appliance. Personally, I don’t think the space looks that big in the pic…but it’s because everything else is so huge. We have learned quickly that 12 feet tall cabinets tend to mess with our perspective a little.

The delivery of our refrigerator required several men, two trucks and a fork lift. Thankfully, the forklift was able to get the fridge into the garage/breezeway…which meant the men only had to carry it about 6 feet.

They got it all set and just about ready to go (waiting for us to hook up electric, water, etc).

And we all exhaled when it fit. When it comes to a built in refrigerator there is zero room for any type of error.

We are thrilled to have all the appliances in place and cannot wait to move in and start entertaining! This has been the step that has truly started to feel like we are close to the finish line.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

We were able to buy a scratch and dent refrigerator once at a 1/3rd of the cost because the owner of the appliance store built a new house, and when they went to fit in the fridge, it wouldn’t fit. They tried too hard, and it dented the lower back on both sides. We had just redone our kitchen, but couldn’t afford the fridge I wanted. It was on our wait list, but I had measure it, and it fit perfectly into the space. We still have it 12 years later, and no one knows it has two dents in it. Glad your measurements were right.

It has been interesting, and so much fun to follow your progress. With your obvious meticulous work, there was never a doubt the refrigerator would fit perfectly, but I think most of us were holding our breath right along with you!

Are t you concerned with slipping on the breezeway tile in the winter or when it’s raining?
