It’s another Tuesday Tidbits and I will have to do a second blog post this week because there is just TOO MUCH going on right now! Things are changing fast at the house and it is all for the better (yay!). This week we installed the ovens (3 ovens...they are all convection, but the top one also doubles as a microwave). The hood is all complete and beautiful and our range is in.

Trent carefully had to drill holes around our pot filler to attach the fixture. I stood by like a nervous little school girl, just petrified that something was going to crack. Thankfully, it never did!

Attaching the pot filler became tricky because the chrome is beautiful and Trent needed to use a wrench to tighten it up. This was our fix…and yes, that is my “Michael Jackson” glove that I’m wearing to try and not get finger prints on everything.

The pot filler turned out perfect and I am going to love having one!

We also finally removed the door coming in from the breezeway to the kitchen. This is an original door and we will use it in our office (another exterior, bricked over doorway), so it’s going to good use! We will frame out the arched doorway here in the kitchen and have it look into the breezeway. As soon as the door was off, I knew this was the right choice. The back wall of the kitchen has no windows, so this lets in tons of natural light!

We were able to lay the cement board in the breezeway to get things ready for tile! This is also the room we pre-wired to have radiant floor heat. The heated floor will go down next, just before thin-set. Between the huge windows on each side (looking east and west) and the heated floor, can we all guess where our cat will be spending his time?!

Check back later this week for more updates! Things are moving right along and we are so excited!! Thank you for following along. Have a wonderful week and enjoy Thanksgiving!

I’m loving the breezeway!!! I can see plants in there or a small herb garden! Just beautiful how it’s all coming together!

The appliances look great and it’s very nice to have a pot filler close to the stove. It really did turn out great. I am curious to see the installation of the heated floor in the breezeway. Happy Thanksgiving to you both….
