We have so many updates this week that I am doing a two part Tuesday Tidbits. The second portion will be tomorrow (on Wednesday) …obviously not being on a Tuesday…but there is just too much! So, let’s get down to business:

I have spent every spare minute of each day scraping, sanding, priming and painting the window trim. We have a TON of window trim. And this is just the original windows from the first floor…craziness! They look pretty rough at the start.

Thankfully, we labeled everything very well when we removed it all last February.

Did I mention how rough it is?! It’s bad. 14 coats of paint, a couple coats of stain and 150 years of living. Rough.

But after a little love and attention the stuff looks much better. It’s not perfect…not even close. However, it’s amazing trim and I hope that trumps the fact that it is not flawless. We’ll call it character!

Then we started putting all the puzzle pieces together. Seriously. Each window is just one big puzzle.

And while the windows themselves still need lots of attention, things are looking much better!

In other news, the main level bathroom is just about all put together. I love it! I love it! I love it!

We decided to hang the light fixture that goes above our dining table. It’s tough to tell the size from this pic, but the thing is huge. HUGE.

Trent was installing the garbage disposals on the kitchen sinks and I had to laugh when I saw the boxes in the trash pile. I’m pretty sure we don’t need anything called a “space saver” in this house!

As always, thanks for following along! Tune in tomorrow for more updates during this exciting time!

Wow, lots of projects going on at once. The trim would be a challenge and it was a wise move to label everything. The fixtures, lighting and bathroom are looking good. Looking forward to tomorrow’s update…..
