It’s a strange sentence for me to write, but we didn’t really have a crazy, insane, over-the-top busy week at the house. It was nice…very, very nice. Trent was out of the country for a few days on a work/fun trip and when he sent me this pic I became a little giddy. He caught 8 of these salmon and is having them all prepared and shipped to us in 6-8 weeks. You know what that means??? We MUST have our kitchen appliances in by that time. Well, we must have our refrigerator/freezer in by that time.

The other reason that we weren’t quite as busy is due to our kitchen countertops. They were being installed and that did not include us! Woohoo! They are quartz and intended to have a marble look. We have always done a tile backsplash but decided to do something different this time. We took the quartz all the way up the wall as our backsplash. It feels clean and super easy to get clean.

Rest assured, we have moved back into the super busy phase at the house! This week is going to be one of the most productive ones yet.

As always, thank you for following along and have a wonderful week!

Ok – I have to be the one to ask . . . Where did you get the quartz that looks like marble? I am updating a bathroom countertop. That look would be perfect!

There seem to be hundreds of brands of quartz right now (ranging in prices and color style). We went with MSI (brand name) quartz and the color was brand new last week: Calcutta Laza. I’m very happy with it!

WOW! Absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to see it with the appliances. Your husband looks like he had lots of fun.

The counter tops and back splashes look wonderful and go so well with the cabinets. I like the light gray going through the stone work and it adds a very ice accent. Good to hear that you both took a small respite from all of your chores for some well deserved R&R.
