The past week has been BUSY at the house. All sorts of busy! Thankfully, that always makes for a more interesting Tuesday Tidbits blog post. I’ve listed off what we worked on this week bullet point style and of course included the photos.

  • All nail holes on the second floor trim, windows and door casing have been filled.
  • We sealed every single tile, marble piece and square inch of grout. Never. Again.
  • We started installing a few light fixtures. Not because we are really ready…just because it felt good.
  • We started prepping the main level, original doors that we are going to save and use. By “started prepping” I mean that we brought them all into the garage and stared at them. Puzzled. Not remembering that they are solid wood, 9 foot tall doors with 37 coats of paint on them.

I filled so many nail holes. And it’s only the second floor. The first floor will have twice as many!

Beautifully sealed tile and grout along with a few light fixtures in the master bathroom.

A few more light fixtures.

Simply put: a house can never have too many sconce lights. Period.

The living/family room is almost feeling like an actual room.

The doors…that may actually be the death of us.

Tune in tomorrow for a special blog post! Our friends/clients/neighbors who bought the house around the corner are almost 100% complete and it’s a beauty. You will NOT want to miss it.

Thank you for following along and have a wonderful week!

The lights are beautiful. We have a set of wooden doors that have lots of paint on them as well. Your house will be so awesome when you are done.

The lighting is looking great and your main bathroom surely is getting close to being finished. Sometimes, it seems that if you have filled one nail hole, you have filled a thousand. Keep up the good work, one detail at a time, and don’t forget about “break time”….
