Ahhh….it’s another Tuesday which means it is time for some more tidbits! The theme is the same as last week. Trent has been working on the bathroom floors and showers (all tile) and I have been painting. To be technical, Trent gave up his tile prep work on Saturday and helped me paint…he is so much better at rolling the ceilings (mainly, because I can hardly hold the huge commercial roller above my head).
The master shower is ready for the next step (waterproofing and cement board).
The kitchen ceiling is about 80% finished with painting. I can say with complete certainty, this is the only time we will ever paint this ceiling. Ever. Thankfully, this officially completes all the ceilings for the house! On to the walls.
As I have mentioned before, we have a 4 legged family member and decided to build a little room/closet/space for his animal “stuff.” We found the perfect space between the basement door and the kitchen.
Our little work station is complete with all things painting. The chairs are for our break times that we try to take every couple of hours. And yes…that is a box of Thin Mints in between the chairs. Go Girl Scouts!
We did manage to take the afternoon/evening off on Sunday and head into Chicago. Trent turned another year older and we decided to celebrate! As you can tell, the view from our table was pretty amazing!
The birthday boy!
The view only got better as the sun set!
If Bananas Foster is on the menu, it’s a no-brainer.
Such a fun evening…and a much needed break from the project! Have a wonderful week and thank you for following along!
