It’s another busy week here in Buchanan! As you can tell from the photo above, Trent is the engineer brain but I am the ridiculous, over-the-top particular one when it comes to sorting. Trent asked me to unload the plumbing drain items and put them in some type of order. What I heard was “match up all like parts and organize them from 3 inch down to 1.5 inch in descending order.” Don’t be jealous. It’s a gift and a curse.

Below is a photo of our final install on the water heater. As I stated last week, we have had wonderful success with this name brand.

Plumbing has started this week and the ManaBloc is up and ready. If you are not familiar with the PEX system, I’ll fill you in during the coming weeks. When it comes to installing brand new plumbing, we LOVE this system. LOVE. No…we are not being paid by anyone to say this. We actually like it that much.

If you recall, when we installed the coffered ceiling (in the kitchen) Trent was thinking way ahead. He placed the sewer drain as we were building the ceiling. This week that finally pays off! Since the sewer drain does NOT bend, we would have had a difficult time squeezing it in after the fact.

The photo below may not look like much but boy, oh boy, it sure is. This is the first drain for the first toilet! We still have many quick trips to McDonalds in our future, but the end is in sight. We are one step closer to having a functioning toilet!

Thank you for following along on our crazy adventure. Have a wonderful week!

I completely understand the sorting desire. I once took all of my husband’s huge assortment of screws and sorted them by type, size and screw head. Very satisfying for me. On another note, I have something Trent may be interested in having. Please email me.
