There has been a lot going on at our place! Electric and painting galore! And we are both ready to be done with BOTH of these particular projects. #totallyoverit

Lots of boxes and recessed lights have been installed. And by lots, I mean HUNDREDS.

As for the painting…well, it’s safe to say the weather is NOT cooperating. And I meanĀ really not cooperating. Every day I check the radar, put on my painting clothes, head over to the house, pour the paint and BOOM! The pop-up thunderstorms just seem to come out of nowhere (yes, I know that is the definition of a pop-up thunderstorm). So, what should have been a 3-4 week project will be taking a little longer. For those of you who drive by daily (and have OCD) hang in there!

See the sky (below)?! It was completely blue and clear just 15 minutes before I took this pic.

I’m extremely hopeful that by next week’s Tuesday Tidbits, one of these projects will be finished (that may be wishful thinking on my part).

Have a wonderful week and enjoy the long weekend!

Paint color looking good. This will be fabulous when completed! Sympathize with working around the challenging weather patterns.

Yes, I understand about the painting situation. Paint actually hates humidity which causes it to have longer drying times and trapping moisture in the surface below. They say that you can paint on a winter day if it is low humidity and it will dry just fine. The pop-up thunderstorms remind me of my days in Vietnam during the monsoon season. Same thing, one minute they are not there and the next minute they are. We could almost set our watches for the time of day when they would begin and usually could plan accordingly, but not always. You are making fine progress on your well-thought-out project and enjoy when you can……
