Yes, it’s another Tuesday Tidbits and (thanks to the long weekend) I believe we got a decent amount done this week. While it was not near as exciting as some weeks, the results mattered and had to be done. **Little extra tidbit: the brick accents on the garage will be starting this next week/weekend!!!!!**

The plan was to get the ceilings complete in both the office and living room – and we did! They were not as difficult as the kitchen ceiling, but still add a little something. They will have recessed lights in them and drywall finished around them (for a tray ceiling effect).

While I hate to say this and jinx something…I believe we are officially done with framing. And I mean done. Those of you that have done framing will understand: I’ve been rattling off my “16’s” in my sleep. 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, etc.

We also installed the two exterior doors on the garage (thus, locking up the house even a little tighter).

We did take an afternoon/evening off to spend with friends over this holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time off! We hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend and thank you for following along!

So glad to hear that you took a little time off for the holiday to enjoy. I really like seeing the before and after photos of the living room and office. Will the lighting be in the structures that you added and be round and recessed? I like the wide service door to the garage and will be excited to see the brick accenting on it as well. Again, you have made great progress….

Great job – curious???? What is the bricked up “doorway” in the office – did that go to an outside area or into another room?

I’m with Bonnie; wondering, when I saw that bricked up doorway, what it was & which way it faced.

I’ve discussed the doors and windows that are bricked up in several posts in the past.
