We officially have our first set of before and after photos! We know it’s going to be a long time before we have any real before/after shots of the interior, so we are taking the good where we can get it right now.

The back of the mansion had this terrible white siding (added during the 1940’s apartment phase). We knew there was some kind of original porch on the back, plus the back “cellar” had a make-shift shed attached (equally bad).

Since we are living in the carriage house, this has been our view every single day (seriously…horrible). We decided this project was a priority! Needless to say, we are happy with the results…

The pile of trash looks better then the addition did, much better view of the house.

That was one thing we were always curious about. How and why that was enclosed with that awful siding? It looks so much better now. Thanks for the post.

Much better, that has been bothering me for years, glad you yanked it off, now when I go by I don’t have to see it anymore, much nicer, cleaner lines and less clutter. Thanks for posting the before and after pics !
