Our home has some beautiful doors.  I’m not talking pretty, oh-those-are-nice doors….I’m talking about stunning doors.  They are huge and they are so heavy you can’t even fathom it (until you try to open one of them). They need a lot of attention, but we are prepared to give it.

we have the same age house but on a much smaller scale. We have those doors as well. I’m astonished that this was a rental and much of its charm is still intact. Most renters in a larger city like that don’t respect history in homes. You guys are living my dream of fully remodeling a home.

I am a neighbor of your, albeit one on the other side of the block, well, on Taylor Street anyway. I am so glad you both bought the house you’re in. It is a real treat to know the ‘ol Kizer House is being restored and lived in by someone and not just a rental property. I have been through the house on more than one occasion and found it HUGE yet lovely and in need of a lot of work- I wish you the best in your endeavor and am anxiously awaiting it’s completion so that I, along with others, can see your finished work. Oh, and thanks for you blog so that we may see the work in progress – blessings on you both – Mr. Perkins
